A series of public lectures concerning social issues in Peterborough and the community are being held next month at Trent University. The series is entitled, "Trent University and Peterborough: Connecting Communities," will feature front-line workers, community leaders and activists discussing topics pertinent to this area such as affordable housing. The next lecture is scheduled for Tuesday, February 5 at 7 p.m. in the Lady Eaton College Senior Common Room. Rosemary O'Donnell, Manager of the Housing and Resource Centre will speak on, "Homelessness and Housing Insecurity: A Growing Crisis at Your Doorstep." On February 11 at 7 p.m., John Martyn, Director of the Peterborough Community Housing Development Corporation, will speak on, "Making Affordable Housing Happen: An Emerging Solution."
