Campaign goal exceeded

Donors, volunteers, students, alumni, faculty, and staff celebrated with coffee and cake today as Trent University's Beyond Our Walls Campaign Chairman, Don Tapscott, announced that the campaign had surpassed its goal of $17 million.

The final campaign total of $17,219,216 marks the most successful capital campaign in the history of the university.

Presenting Trent University's President Bonnie Patterson with the $17.2 million cheque on behalf of the Beyond Our Walls Campaign Cabinet, Trent Alumnus and Campaign Chair Don Tapscott saluted the many donors and committed volunteers who contributed to the overwhelming achievement. "If anything, this campaign is testimony to the widespread affection, devotion, and respect individuals and communities hold for Trent University," Mr. Tapscott said. "These are the foundations of a campaign of this magnitude. Our success today is a reflection of these fundamentals-and a lot of hard work."
