Dr. Lynda Redwood-Campbell to Discuss Relief Work Overseas |

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Tuesday, March 28, 2006 From the Office of the Chaplain: On Friday March 31st at 7:00 p.m. at the Champlain College Council Chambers, Doctor Lynda Redwood-Campbell will be talking about her experiences with the Canadian Relief Foundation and the International Red Cross. Doctor Lynda Redwood-Campbell is an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at McMaster University. After receiving her medical degree from McMaster in 1992 she has subsequently been awarded a diploma in Tropical Medicine and Public Health from the Royal College of Physicians, University of London as well as completing the Canadian National Family Medical Fellowship from the University of Toronto. At present she is completing a Master's of International Public Health at the John Hopkins School of Public Health. Over the years she has volunteered to be part of the Canadian Relief Foundation medical missions to Rwanda, the Congo, Kenya, Honduras, and most recently the earthquake in Pakistan. In addition she was with the International Commission of the Red Cross's Field Hospital in Banda Aceh after the 2004 tsunami. She has written columns for the Toronto Star chronicling her experiences in both Indonesia and Pakistan.
