Thursday, January 27, 2005, Peterborough Trent University is pleased to host the Centre for Indigenous Theatre's full-time students and their Clown & Such Showcase on Thursday, January 27 at 7 p.m. in the First Peoples House of Learning performance space at Peter Gzowski College at Symons Campus. All are welcome to attend. Admission is by donation, or please bring a non-perishable food item. The presentation will take the form of a demonstration of the various stages of the introductory level of Pochinko-style clown training. This month-long workshop, facilitated by John Turner, consists of over 100 hours of colour and mask work, culminating in the 'birth' of the students' clown. The students will be showing some mask exercises, and some clown turns and will also present monologues and scenes in a more traditional theatrical setting. -30- For further information, please contact: The Centre for Indigenous Theatre, 416-506-9436
