Trent University hosts fall open house: Nov. 6

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sample lectures offered to prospective students and their families

Tuesday, November 2, 2004, Peterborough

Trent University is expecting to host hundreds of high school students and their families, as they look to learn about the University and its programs and services at its Fall Open House on November 6.

Prospective students are invited to join current students, staff and faculty members between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on the lower level of Peter Gzowski College on the Symons Campus. For the first time, sample lectures will be offered to give students a real taste of life at Trent.

This year's event will be an informal drop-in with regular tours scheduled every half hour beginning at 10 a.m. Throughout the day, scheduled information sessions will be taking place covering topics such as financial aid and student services. There will be opportunities to learn about our professional programs, including Nursing, Teacher Education, and the newer and highly popular Forensics degree.

“Every year we look forward to the Fall Open House as an opportunity to meet students who may chose to join us and to showcase our beautiful campus. Unique to this day is a chance for high school students to get a glimpse into academics and the rich student life here at Trent,” says Assistant Registrar Allan Barnfield.

Prospective students and their families are asked RSVP to liaison@trentu.ca or 748-1011, ext. 1332 or toll-free to 1-888-739-8885.

A second opportunity to see the campus is scheduled for November 13 - Fall Tour Day. There will be guided walking tours of Trent University’s campus.
