"We were pleasantly surprised when a friend and supporter of Trent University came forward and expressed their desire to fund a lasting tribute to recognize Gillian for everything she has done for the University," said Bonnie Patterson, President and Vice-Chancellor. "The donor is a longtime fan of Peter Gzowski and had never met either Peter or Gill. However, the donor read about Gillian in Peter's writing and heard her speak at Peter's memorial service. We are thrilled and touched by this donor's contribution and we concur with the donor's sentiments about Gill. Gill Howard is truly an exceptional woman and we are thrilled that this recognition of her leadership, her professionalism and her values are being acknowledged."
