The Trent University Career Centre is hosting its annual Summer Job and Volunteer Fair for its students on Tuesday, February 3, 2004, in Champlain College's Great Hall from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The fair will give Trent University students a chance to meet potential employers to discuss summer jobs and volunteer opportunities. The Summer Job and Volunteer Fair allows students to explore and consider unique and exciting summer job possibilities and is a great way for them to start the summer job search. "Summer employment, whether volunteer or paid, helps students gain necessary experience that will help them in their eventual career," says Kristi Kerford, career counsellor at the Trent Career Centre. "The job fair is an excellent opportunity to expand a student's network, make great contacts and establish a relationship with future employers."
