First Year Survival Tips Transitioning
into university life can be daunting, especially in the first month or
two of the year for first-year students. Homesickness, loneliness, isolation
and even depression can be experienced.
This is a good place
to start if a student needs some advice on handling their new situation.
As well, the counselling team is on hand to provide one-on-one help if
a student would like to speak to someone about how they are feeling. All
that is required to make an appointment is a phone call to the Counselling
Centre at 748-1386. Sessions are free for registered students and confidentiality
in all cases is guaranteed. Posted October 7, 2002 Back to Trent Daily News Back to News Releases |
