A barbeque was held
on Tuesday, September 10, to welcome new students and recognize top-standing
students from last year's class. President Bonnie Patterson attended the
event and told the nursing students they are a group of "pioneers,
moving forward to a new standard" in health care. She added that,
as a board member of the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, she feels
there is a lot of excitement in the community about the Trent/Fleming
program.

An illustrative needle completes the message, and several new students wore their shirts to a program barbeque on September 10.
