Alumnus receives folk music award Former Trent University student Ian Tamblyn was presented the Estelle Klein Award at the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals Conference in Ottawa this past weekend. The Estelle Klein Award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the folk music community in Ontario. Mr. Tamblyn was a graduate of the first Canadian Studies class at Trent and was affiliated with Champlain College. He ran a folk club at the Commoner while he was a student and is a significant Canadian musician, songwriter, playwright and producer.
