Research Exchange at Indigenous Research Day |

Trent University faculty and graduate students will have the opportunity to share their research at the second bi-annual Indigenous Research Day at Trent University on Monday, November 21, 2005. Researchers at Trent who are doing studies related to Aboriginal/Indigenous peoples have been invited to present at the event, with the theme Indigenous Research Across Disciplines: Current and Future Directions at Trent. Researchers will make 10 to 12 minute presentations on their work throughout the event, which runs from 2 to 8:30 p.m. There will be two keynote speakers – Craig McNaughton of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council's Indigenous Research Program at 2:15 p.m. and Trent Professor Emeritus Marlene Brant Castellano of the Tri-Council Ethics Review Council at 6 p.m. Indigenous Research Day will be held at the Gathering Space in the Enweying Building, Gzowski College on the East Bank of Trent's main campus. The event is being sponsored by the Native Studies Department, the Frost Centre for Canadian Studies and Native Studies and the Associate Vice President, Research. Posted November 16, 2005
