Top International Students Recognized |

For their leadership and contributions to campus life, Trent University international students were recognized at the Trent International Program (TIP) Formal and Awards Banquet on April 2 in the Lady Eaton College Dining Hall. The event was named "Let Them Shine... On a Night to Remember". "As the evening's emcee, Arthur Omaset, said, 'the TIP Formal is an opportunity for all of us to dress up in our fancy clothes and celebrate another year's successes.' It's also a great way for us to recognize some of the outstanding students who lead Trent's international community. Even though only a few are given special recognition, the cheers from their friends and peers let us all feel the pride, joy, and warmth of being a part of this extraordinary place where the world learns together," says TIP Director Michael Allcott. Many special guests were on hand as 12 scholarships and awards were presented along with the Friends of TIP Award. President Bonnie Patterson opened the evening by welcoming the students with a toast recognizing the energy and enthusiasm they bring to Trent.
