A Surprise and an Honour |
||
By Kim Fielding
Ms. Wallis began at Trent University in 1991 and in her first moments as a student, "fell in love." "It's been such a privilege to study here, and to help other part-time students any way I can," she said. For more than 13 years, Ms. Wallis has helped part-time students find their way through academics and life, along with another special contribution. "She always worked so hard to create a space for part-time students that is homey, welcoming and useful," says College Administrator and Faculty Liaison Tui Menzies. Ms. Wallis was awarded a plaque in recognition of her outstanding devotion to part-time students. It will be proudly displayed in the JBCSA Common Room at Trent's Blackburn Hall.
