Career Centre Summer Hours
A reminder that the Career Centre will be open during the summer months. Beginning April 1st, our scheduled hours will be Monday to Friday from 9:30 am - 4:30 pm, closing for the lunch hour between 12 pm - 1pm.
Summer Employment Opportunities
Still looking for a summer job? Here are a few of the summer student employment programs that are offered through the Federal and Provincial governments, so keep on checking the websites for updates and new opportunities.
On-Campus Employers
College Pro Painters - Visit their information booth outside Wenjack Theatre on March 31 between 10 am-3 pm.
Daemon College - Teacher Education will be outside of Wenjack Theatre on April 1 from 11 am - 2 pm. Stop by to learn more about their program.
Teaching English as a Second Language Course
Trent's Continuing Education is offering Teaching English as a Second Language courses.
Three Saturday sessions - May 1, May 29 and June 26 - 9-4:30pm
or nine Tuesday sessions - May 4 - June 29 - 5:30 - 8:30pm
Fee - $775; Student/Alumni/Senior - $700

Internship Opportunities
Connecting students and professionals with cutting-edge environmental work, The Orion Grassroots Network offers an Internship & Career Service. The Canadian International Development Agency offers 6-12 month internships for college and university graduates to gain work experience in their field of study in an international development context. Go to www.acdi-cida.gc.ca/youth to view the internships for 2004-05.
Langara College's Young Professionals International Program is NOW recruiting for 6-month work placements starting in July 2004!

CMA Entrance Exam Preparation Programs Registration
Deadline: April 2!
To assist students in preparing for the exam, CMA is offering in-class sessions that combine technical review with exam simulations. All sessions are offered on weekends. www.cma-ontario.org for information.
