Finding Themselves at Trent: More than 600 Attend Open House "We are absolutely delighted to have you here today," Trent University President Bonnie Patterson told more than 600 prospective students and family members as she welcomed them to the March 16 Open House.
Student Stephen Dunbar spoke enthusiastically to prospective students about his Trent University experience. He arrived from the Northwest Territories, not knowing a soul, and within minutes, met a number of students and was introduced to Champlain College Master Stephen Brown. Mr. Dunbar also talked about his involvement in the University's popular intramural sports program and professors he described as "simply incredible." "Here at Trent, you're not a number, you're a name," he said. "The professors love teaching, they love being here, they love talking to students."
Guided Walking Tours of Trent University's campus will also be offered March 19, 2004 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Those planning to attend the Tour Day are asked to RSVP to liaison@trentu.ca or 748-1332.
