Trent University's Santa Claus Parade Float A dedicated group of staff members and volunteers worked into the evening November 3 to prepare Trent's float for this year's Santa Claus Parade on Saturday, December 6 at 5:30 p.m., starting at City Hall. The parade will travel down George Street and finish at the Memorial Centre. This year's theme is "A Victorian Christmas." Trent's float will depict an outdoor ice skating scene with staff members dressed in Victorian clothing. Some wonderfully creative individuals here at Trent have been working to pull the float together, says Jean Hamilton of the Human Resources department, who is spearheading the project. Anyone interested in walking along with the float on parade day to hand out candy is more than welcome. These helpers will be required to wear something that identifies them as Trent personnel, i.e. sweatshirts, hats, etc. For further information, contact Jean Hamilton, 748-1011, Ext.1460 Posted December 1, 2003 |
