Trent Alum Don Tapscott Launches "The Naked Corporation" as part of national breakfast series "If you have to be naked you better be buff"
Tapscott’s book examines how transparency, driven by technology, globalization, and crises in trust, is changing the face of business. According to the authors, we are entering an extraordinary age of openness, where businesses must, for the first time, make themselves clearly visible to shareholders, customers, employees, partners and society. Financial data, grievances, internal memos, environmental disasters, product weaknesses, protests, scandals, and policies; good news and bad; all can be seen by anyone who knows where to look. The new world of transparency revolutionizes every aspect of our economy and forces firms to rethink their fundamental values. Few understand how far the revolution will take us, or what to do about it. Commenting on the new expectations for accountability, Tapscott says, "If you have to be naked you better be buff." Published by Viking Canada, the book is being promoted by Tapscott and Ticoll as part of a national breakfast series for across Canada with business leaders. Don Tapscott is recognized as one of the leading business thinkers of our time. He authored several of the best selling books of the last decade, including Paradigm Shift, The Digital Economy and Growing Up Digital. He also serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. Posted November 5, 2003 |
