Trent Shines at Ontario Universities Fair Trent University was well represented at the Universities Fair this past weekend in Toronto, where 20 Ontario Universities met with future university students to provide information about academic programs. Trent President Bonnie Patterson and Vice President Academic Susan Clark were among dozens of faculty and staff who chatted with students on day one of the fair that ran from September 25 to 27 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Future students, parents, and guidance counsellors alike flocked to a new Trent booth, redesigned to reflect Trent’s new logo standards and an emphasis on the natural environment at the university as well as arts, science, and interdisciplinary programs. Many students were interested in knowing more about Trent’s upcoming B.Sc.F.S., a brand new program in Forensic Science. The Nursing and Teacher Education programs also attracted a lot of questions. Students looking at Trent mention the smaller size campus, personal interaction with faculty and safe, mid-sized city as big attractions, as well as Trent’s renown for excellence in research and teaching in the arts and sciences. Visit Trent at the Fall Open House and Tour days on November 1st and 15th. Posted September 29, 2003 |
