Election News: Candidates On-Campus and Oct. 2 Polling Stations The availability of summer employment, minimum wage and the cost of living and, tuition fees and loans were among the issues discussed at Monday’s all-candidates debate on the Bata Library podium at Trent University. The debate, organized by the Trent Central Students Association, drew more than 100 students and Green Party candidate Tim Holland, Liberal candidate Jeff Leal, Independent candidate Bob Bowers, Family Coalition Party candidate Max Murray and NDP candidate Dave Nickle. Candidates had five minutes to introduce themselves and then one minute to respond to questions. Election Day: October 2 Election Day is October 2, 2003, and votes can be cast at various locations between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. The polling station for students living on the Symons Campus is in Blackburn Hall. For Catherine Parr Traill College students, the polling station is at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 317 Hunter Street West. Gzowski College students can vote at Queen Elizabeth Public School at 830 Barnardo Avenue. Please take with you two pieces of identification that show your name, address and signature. This could include a driver’s license, credit card, passport or piece of mail.
