Trent University Celebrates Topping Off Ceremony for New Building On June 10, Trent University carried on a building tradition by holding a Topping Off ceremony on the upper level of the new Peter Gzowski College building which incorporates First Peoples House of Learning. Topping Off is a traditional construction ceremony when the final concrete pour is being done on the top-most floor of a new building. A luncheon followed in the future dining hall of the new building to show Trent University's appreciation for all the trades that have worked so hard to get the building to this point. Interior work can now begin on the building.
