Get ready for more lifelong learning:
Continuing education classes set to go

The roster of upcoming winter Continuing Education classes is impressive and diverse, and many classes are set to begin next week.

From "More Shorts with a Twist: Irish Short Stories (Female Voices)" to "Storm Warning: Gambling with the Climate of our Planet", there is something for everyone this term. Some of the most popular choices include "DNA and Forensic Science: CSI for the Novice", "Intelligent Life in the Universe", "Newspaper and Magazine Writing", "Writing Fiction for Children and Teens" and "How to Look at Art".

There are 23 courses available, in total, and program director Lisa Clark says just over 100 people have reigstered so far. She emphasizes the quality of the professional development courses offered this term: "We are offering courses about coaching and team building for managers, leadership skills for women, making dynamic presentations, applying emotional intelligence in the workplace, clear communication and more," says Ms. Clark.

Reduced course rates are available for staff, faculty, alumni and students. Permanent staff are also eligible for tuition waivers for professional development courses.

For a full listing of courses and content, please visit www.trentu.ca/continuinged or call Ms. Clark at 748-1011, ext. 1304.
