Two Trent grads long-listed for 2003 International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award Two well-known Canadian authors and Trent graduates have been long-listed for the prestigious 2003 International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award. Yann Martel, recent winner of the 2002 Man Booker Prize, has been listed for his novel Life of Pi. Richard B. Wright, winner of the 2001 Governor General’s Award and the 2001 Giller Prize, has been listed for his celebrated novel Clara Callan. In total, 125 authors from around the world have been long-listed for the award. The short list of up to 10 titles will be released on March 20, 2003, and the winner will be announced in Dublin on May 19, 2003. Posted November 7, 2002 |
