P.K. Page Conference a Huge Success Click
here for a Extraordinary Presence: The Worlds of P.K. Page, a conference held at Trent University from October 24 – 27, was a wonderful success. Hundreds of people gathered together to celebrate the life and work of Canadian poet, writer and visual artist P.K. Page. The CBC’s Shelagh Rogers, Eve Egoyan, Constance Rooke, Rosemary Sullivan, Joy Coghill and Robert Cram were a few of the celebrities on hand for events throughout the conference. Several outstanding Canadian poets and authors were also in attendance. A new volume of selected poems by P.K. Page was launched at the Trent University bookstore on Saturday, October 26. The new book is called Planet Earth and, in addition to previously-published poems, features some new poetry by Page. These photographs capture some of the events that occurred throughout the four-day event. An exhibit of P.K. Page’s visual art remains on display at the Art Gallery of Peterborough.
