You might say that the 2023 CEO-in-Residence and Distinguished Trent University alumna, Anita Erskine, is a business tour-de-force, both in Canada and internationally.
Ms. Erskine’s achievements are diverse, multi-faceted, and impressive. Since graduating from Trent in 1999, she has become an award-winning communications professional, broadcast journalist, television producer, and has ranked one of the Top 100 Most Influential Women in Africa, one of the Top 100 Most Inspirational Women in Ghana, and one of the most inspirational Ghanaian public figures. Since 2015, Ms. Erskine has also hosted and executive produced “Sheroes of Our time”, a television talk show showcasing and celebrating strong and unique women, viewed by more than 15 million people across Africa, Europe, and North America. On top of that, Ms. Erskine is the recent recipient of a Trent University Distinguished Alumni Award.
As an influential woman and entrepreneur, who better to inspire and mentor the next generation of women business leaders from Trent University?
From the time she stepped into her new role last February, this Cultural Studies graduate has been doing exactly that—supporting and collaborating with Trent Business students through meetups, lectures, and panel discussions, so they can gain from her wealth of experience. “It’s exciting to work with the leaders of tomorrow and help them prepare for a bright future,” says Ms. Erskine.
