Eligibility
The Study Abroad is designed primarily for students in the third year of an honours degree majoring in International Development, Anthropology, Politics, International Studies, or a cognate discipline, who have a minimum standing of B- (70%) in at least eight full-year courses. A full year credit in Introduction to Spanish language or equivalent with a mark of 70% or higher is also required. Places are available for students who transfer to Trent for the year on a letter of permission. All applicants are interviewed to assess their expectations, and their capacities for adapting to a foreign cultural setting where conventional academic resources are limited. The interviews take place in November. Successful applicants are notified shortly thereafter of their acceptance.
Scholarships and Bursaries are available.
