Students enrolled in the Trent-Fleming School of Nursing programs and show interest in exploring nursing in depth by connecting with peers and faculty, have found much success in the Nursing LLC. Together, this group of dedicated students are provided an avenue to take their learning beyond the classroom and engage with it at a deeper level for continued academic success.
What to expect while living in this Residence Learning Community
- Opportunities to connect with Faculty and Staff from the Trent-Fleming School of Nursing program outside of the classroom through facilitated workshops and speaker panels.
- Course based support workshops in residence from Academic Skills on APA Formatting, math support from Faculty and Academic Skills
- The Annual Mock Bellringer for the Anatomy exam in collaboration with the Forensics Living Learning Community
- Explore pathways in the field of Nursing with a Faculty and Alumni speaker panel
- Explore traditional Indigenous medicines and healing practices with Faculty from the program and the First People’s House of Learning in collaboration with the Endahying Living Learning Community
- Connect with Upper-Year Students through your Living Learning Community Don and the Trent-Fleming School of Nursing Association (TFSNA)
- Facilitate Community Outreach projects to promote healthy living in residences
