Transfer Credit FAQs
Transfer students have studied at another university or college prior to transferring to Trent University.
There is no transfer credit application. Applicants to Trent University who have previously attended a post secondary institution are automatically evaluated for transfer credits. The results of your transfer credit evaluation will be posted on your myTrent portal.
A maximum of 10 transfer credits can be applied towards an honours degree. A maximum of 7.5 transfer credits can be applied towards a general degree. Specific degree requirements may mean that not all transfer credits awarded are applicable to a degree program.
Articulation agreements, (also known as "Degree Completion Programs") are formal agreements between two post-secondary institutions that define eligibility criteria, transfer credits to be awarded, and credits required for completion of a specific degree program.
If you are applying to Trent under the terms of an articulation agreement, course descriptions are not required.
