The Agroecology Lab in TSE is seeking undergraduate students keen on gaining experience working on field and lab research projects focused on sustainable agriculture and nature-based solutions for mitigating climate change. Research in our lab is well suited for students with knowledge on and, more importantly, motivation to learn about agriculture and ecosystem science, plant and soil science, biogeochemistry, and/or analytical and environmental chemistry. The Hillslope Ecohydrology Research Lab in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada are seeking a highly motivated MSc student to be part of the forest hydrology research team at Turkey Lakes Watershed. The MSc will be based at Trent University with fieldwork and data collection at Turkey Lakes Watershed, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. The overarching goal of this research project is to develop a process understanding of the mechanisms that drive patterns of tree water use and its connectivity with stream water sources. Our ongoing project is funded by NSERC and the Canadian Forest Service, Great Lakes Forest Research Centre. Postdoctoral Researcher in Aquatic Flux Measurements
The Ecosystems and Global Change Group at Trent University jointly led by Prof Andrew Tanentzap (Canada Research Chair in Climate Change and Northern Ecosystems) and Dr Erik Emilson (Research Scientist, Canadian Forest Service sector of Natural Resources Canada), is recruiting a two-year postdoctoral researcher to work on investigating the leakiness of natural climate solutions.
