The Department of English invites applications for a CUPE 3908 Unit 2 Proctor for ENGL-2751H on October 15th, 11-12:50, SH 105.
The hourly rate of pay is in accordance with the CUPE 3908 Unit 2 Collective Agreement and may be found in Appendix A Wage Rates on page 57 of the CUPE Unit 2 collective agreement pending contract negotiations.
Proctor or invigilator shall be defined as an enrolled Trent University Student whose assigned duties are aiding Course Instructors in the administration of exams by:
- Handing out blank exam booklets before the exam;
- Collecting unused exam booklets after the exam;
- Being present in the exam room for the scheduled duration of the exam.
- Being aware of Trent’s academic integrity policies.

Course and Session
Positions are at various times during this Academic Year.

Student Markers (SM) shall be defined as an enrolled Trent University student whose assigned duties may include but are not limited to the following:
Marking, grading, calculating and recording grades of students’ work;
Marking preparation based on course materials;
Marking and grading of lab reports/ assignments, tests, exams and essays;
Commenting upon students’ work as required.
Duties related to the position, shall be determined by the person(s) who has (have) principal responsibility for the course.
- Qualifications: MA in progress; experience grading English courses an asset, have experience working with Blackboard, have experience marking at a university level, have some training in humanities research and scholarship
