Funding Your Bachelor of Education
Below you will find a number of funding options available through bursaries and OSAP. Please read through carefully and contact Financial Aid should you have any further questions.
Bursaries
Bursaries – based on financial need
- Apply through Financial Aid Office (MyTrent)
- Usually require student to be in receipt of OSAP
- Can apply both in September & January
School of Education bursaries Awarded through Financial Aid
Arnold Noftall Bursary
Established in memory of Arnold Noftall, Vice-Principal of Kenner Collegiate (1956-1972), by his wife Doris. Awarded to a student in the School of Education and Professional Learning. OSOTF guidelines apply.
Bachelor of Education Bursary
Awarded to students enrolled full-time or part-time in the School of Education and Professional Learning.
Frederick and Lois Helleiner Teacher Education Bursary
Preference will be given to part-time students in the School of Education & Professional Learning undertaking studies leading to a certificate for the first time as a teacher. If no part-time students qualify, then the bursary may be awarded to full-time students. OTSS guidelines apply.
Peter G. Bailey Bursary in Teacher Education
Established in memory of Peter by his family. Awarded to a third or fourth year student in Teacher Education. OTSS guidelines apply.
School of Education & Professional Learning Bursary
Established by friends, faculty and staff of the School of Education and Professional Learning. To be awarded to a teacher candidate in the Consecutive Bachelor of Education Program based upon financial need and commitment to education. OTSS guidelines apply.
Sheila Genoe Teacher Education Bursary
Established in memory of Sheila Genoe and awarded to a full-time student in the School of Education and Professional Learning undertaking studies leading to certification as a teacher. OTSS guidelines apply.
Sisters of St. Joseph Bursaries
Established by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peterborough. Awarded to students completing a degree in the School of Education & Professional Learning. OSOTF guidelines apply.
Tuition and In-Course Bursaries
