Apply for Entry Visa
All exchange students will enter Canada as a visor and will require either a Temporary Resident Visa or Electronic Travel Authorization (unless exempt). Please see below:
- If you are from a visa requiring country, you should apply for a Temporary Resident VISA (TRV). Apply as soon as you get your Letter of Acceptance.
- If you are from a visa exempt country, you may be required to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). Apply at least one month prior to arrival and once you have your flight to Canada.
- If your stay at Trent University will exceed 6 months, you will have to apply for a study permit from within Canada. Our Trent International Advising team can assist you with this application.
Trent University's Designated Learning Institution Number
For Canadian immigration applications relating to your studies, IRCC will request Trent's Designated Learning Institution Number (DLI#) which is O19395164223. It starts with a O and not a zero.
