Research Summary
Kartik’s research interests lie at the intersection of firm strategy, sustainability, and public policy with an emphasis on firms’ interactions with different elements of their non-market environment – such as societal and governmental stakeholders. His current research projects examine the sources of heterogeneity in non-market strategies of firms, and their impact on firm-level outcomes in the context of market considerations of competition, market entry, technological disruption, and stakeholder opposition. His research employs a range of theories, methods, and empirical strategies - including event history analysis, panel data methods, and textual analysis.
