When it comes to health and wellness, the Athletics Centre offers something no other community or university centre can – state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor facilities combined with access to the Otonabee River, diverse nature areas and kilometres of winding trails right at our doorstep. As an Athletics Centre member, you have access to it all.

New to the gym and not sure where to start?
Make an appointment with one of our certified personal trainers for a free fitness consultation. During this session a personal trainer will work with you to determine your individual fitness needs and goals as well as suggest exercises to help you reach those goals. Orientation to the cardio and weight equipment will help ensure that you understand how to use the equipment safely and effectively. At any time, our Sport Centre staff are available to answer questions or provide instruction on how to use the cardio and weight equipment
Personal Training
The Athletics Centre offers a dynamic and diverse team of certified trainers who can tailor programs to meet your individual needs and goals. Our trainers are experienced to work with a range of ages and abilities.
Group Fitness Classes
All community members and Trent students get unlimited access to group fitness classes with their memberships. Delivered by quality instructors in a non-intimidating environment, we offer over 50 classes per week, designed to be challenging and fun. Whether you’re a beginner or more experienced, you’ll find something to suit your fitness level. All classes are drop in with no pre-registration required. Registered Programs
Challenge yourself and try something new! The Athletics Centre registered programs are a great way to learn and be active while having fun. Our programming mix includes activities for different ages and abilities.
