How to Book the Display Case
Eligibility and Process
- Available only for internal university departments or groups.
- A Trent student, staff, or faculty login is necessary to book.
Booking Process
- Email library@trentu.ca with your booking request.
- Visit the Display Case calendar to check availability and upcoming displays.
- Bookings are first-come, first-served.
- You can book up to one year in advance.
- We recommend booking early due to high demand.
Responsibilities and Insurance
- The Library is not responsible for exhibit security or welfare during installation or dismantling.
- By accepting the booking terms, exhibitors release the Library from liability for any loss or damage.
- Exhibitors must arrange their own insurance coverage if necessary.
Booking Management and Duration
- The display case key is available at the Library Service desk after 2:00pm on the Sunday of your booking.
- The standard booking period is from Sunday 2:00pm to Saturday 4:00pm.
- Responsibility lies with the exhibitor setting up the display; please let us know if you experience any delays.
- Please remove your display by Saturday 4 pm; a $20 charge applies for late removal. Unclaimed items may be discarded after one week.
- Email library@trentu.ca to cancel your booking.
- The Library reserves the right to preempt any booking with 3 weeks' notice.
Exhibit Content
- The Library supports academic freedom and imposes no censorship.
- Concerns should be directed to the university group organizing the display, not the Library.
