Recollections of a Trent Career In 1959 I received my M.Sc. degree in Mathematics from Gauhati University, located in Assam, India. In 1960, I came across a research paper written by Dr. Andrew Paul Guinand, who was the Chair of the Mathematics Department of the University of Saskatchewan in Canada at that time.
