Welcome to Student Accessibility Services (SAS) at Trent University - we're glad that you're here!
Students with disabilities who require academic accommodation support must first obtain documentation, complete the Pre-Intake Questionnaire, and then meet with an Accessibility Advisor in order to develop an accommodation plan. The intake session with your Advisor will take one hour.
Be sure to check out our 'How to Register with SAS' page for what is needed to formally register with our office. We look forward to meeting you!
#SAS101 for Incoming September Students
#SAS101 is a day-long event geared to new students and their parents. While this event is held at Trent's Peterborough campus, all incoming students are welcome to attend.
If you are attending at Trent Durham, we would encourage you to attend the Durham SAS University Readiness Program to learn about campus-specific supports. More information can be found on the Trent University Durham SAS website.
This year #SAS101 will be held on Friday, August 14th, 2026 at the Peterborough campus.
Register for #SAS101 Friday, August 14, 2026
Can't join us for #SAS101 on August 14th? SAS will be hosting two interactive workshops and a table at Trent's university-wide Summer Connect on July 10th & July 17th.
SAS is open all summer long and we're able to meet for intake, advising and consultation appointments in advance of September.
We encourage you to complete our Pre-Intake Questionnaire prior to registering for #SAS101, however it is not mandatory to do before attending #SAS101. If you have already completed the questionnaire (any time after May 1st), there is no need to complete it again.
April exam period office hours
During April exams SAS staff are invigilating accommodated exams at the Centre for Academic Testing. The SAS office is open Mondays through Fridays from 2:15 until 3:00 pm for pickup and dropoff of documentation, as well as other inquiries. We monitor the SAS email account (sas@trentu.ca) and callers are welcome to leave us a voice message too.
Accessibility Advisors are still available to connect via email, phone and video conference.
You can reach out for assistance by phoning 705-748-1281 in Peterborough, or 905-435-5100 in Durham. You can email sas@trentu.ca or durhamsas@trentu.ca. You can also reach out directly to your Advisor by using the contact information from our staff directory.
