Trent University Welcomed Minister Glen Murray to Peterborough Campus

Minister met with students, faculty in first official campus visit

Today, Trent University hosted the Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities, Glen Murray, in his first official visit to campus. Minister Murray met with student groups and faculty to discuss their experiences at Trent and to hear their thoughts on the future of higher education in Ontario.
“It was a great chance to showcase Trent directly to the Minister,” said Dr. Steven E. Franklin, Trent University president and vice-chancellor. “These meetings were an opportunity to share our thoughts on Trent’s distinctive learning environment and our role in the greater Peterborough and Oshawa communities.”
Minister Murray and President Franklin were joined in the conversations by Peterborough MPP Jeff Leal, Anne Wright, chair of Trent’s Board of Governors and Trent’s Vice-President, External Relations & Advancement, Julie Davis.
