Trent University Durham supports the Station Gallery’s 23rd Annual Member’s Exhibition
And the Award Goes to…
As supporters of Whitby’s Station Gallery, Trent University Durham staff were on hand to support the winners of this year’s Secret World Exhibition: an annual member’s exhibition that allows members of the Station Gallery to submit their own art work under the theme of that year’s exhibition.
This year the Station Gallery chose Secret World, which asked artists to submit work that showcased a world unknown.
As long time supporters of arts and culture in the region, Trent University Durham was a key sponsor of the event and had Lori Buscher, community relations and events coordinator present an award for the adult category at the opening ceremonies on November 28.
“It was inspiring to see such an incredible amount of talent from our local community, and all the hard work and effort that goes into creating such unique and interesting pieces,” notes Ms. Buscher. “Trent University Durham believes in the importance of creative communities, and it is great when we can show this by supporting organizations like the Station Gallery.”
Jess MacGregor, community and communications manager at the Station Gallery noted, “Station Gallery gratefully acknowledges and thanks Trent University Durham for supporting this year’s exhibit.”
Secret World exhibit is on display till January 10, 2016 at the Whitby Station Gallery.
