A Half-Day Colloquium on French Ontario

Location: Lady Eaton Lecture Hall, EC 201

• December 05, 2011 : 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Outside of certain specific centres, Ontario Francophone culture is not well known. The French studies section of the Modern Languages and Literatures department at Trent University in Peterborough has organized a half-day colloquium on the subject.

Four points of view will be presented: Michel Ouellette, a popular playwright, author of "French Town" and of "Testament du couturier", Franτois Paré professor at the University of Waterloo and author of "Les littératures de l'exiguïté" and of "La distance habitée", François Boileau, French Language Services Commissioner of Ontario in Ontario, and Sylvie Bérard professor at Trent University and author of "Terre des Autres" and of "La Saga d'Illyge". This "Matinée franco-ontarienne" will take place in the Lady Eaton Lecture Hall, EC 201, Trent University 1600 West Bank Drive, Peterborough.
