In second place were the women's single, women's double, men's heavy double, men's heavy four, men's lighweight double and men's lightweight single.

"This is one of the largest rowing programmes Trent has had in many years, with over 90 athletes competing at both the varsity and novice levels," says Athletics Director Bill Byrick.

Trent's head rowing coach, Jack Lapum, was happy with the weekend's events and says, "The Head of the Rideau is a first chance for novice rowers to experience university competition; we're off to a good start."

Trent's rowing team is now gearing up for this coming weekend's Head of the Trent races and events.
