Journalist and Historian Gwynne Dyer to speak at Trent

October 30th at 7:30 p.m., Wenjack Theatre

Trent University will be host to Gwynne Dyer on Tuesday, October 30th at 7:30 p.m. at Wenjack Theatre where the renowned commentator, journalist, and historian will speak about the origins and likely course of the "War on Terrorism" declared by the United States.

Mr. Dyer will explore the events of September 11th and some of the more compelling questions that arise from them: What did the terrorists intend to achieve? Will the Americans walk into their trap? What will Canada's role be in all this? Renowned for his commentary and analysis of the Gulf war on CBC television and his award-winning TV series 'War', Mr. Dyer is a regular on 'The National' as the crisis continues to unfold. He is a military and Middle Eastern expert with vast experience in the field.

Frank, informed and challenging, this free lecture will give an educated perspective on the international crisis that follows the events of September 11th.

Those wishing to attend are strongly encouraged to arrive early, as seating will be limited for this popular lecture.
