Inaugural Film and Arts Appreciation Week at Trent University January 23 - 27

Screenings of Internationally Acclaimed Foreign Films Free and Open to the Public

Friday, January 20, 2006, Peterborough

The Trent International Students Association (TISA) has announced that the inaugural Film and Arts Appreciation Week, a free public event designed to showcase cinematic representations of different regions around the world, will begin on January 23 and run through to January 27 at various locations around the main campus.

The week-long event features screenings of a variety of internationally-acclaimed foreign films each evening from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and concludes with a spectacular night of music, poetry, and art on Friday at 7:00 p.m., featuring the talents of Oni, the Haitian Sensation (a slam poetry champion), and Giovanni Matamoros, a Trent student and one of North America's most promising, along with innovative composers and guitarists.
