TRENT STUDENTS FEATURED IN PUBLIC READINGS OF THEIR OWN WORK

Students from Professor’s Orm Mitchell’s creative writing course at Trent University will read publicly from their own work on Tuesday, April 1 and Tuesday, April 8, at 7:30 p.m.

Prof. Mitchell’s students have been writing "freefall" prose and short stories all year in English 375. They have worked on producing several drafts of their work, and have been encouraged to develop and nurture their own style of writing.

On April 1, students who will read include Sara Berniker, Bevin Kutluoglo, Gail Lyons, Ashley McIntosh and Michael Raby. On April 8, readings will feature Melanie Anderson, Sally Baker, Mary Breen, Joel Buxton, Kate Mitchell and Matt Vidler.

These sessions will be held in the Traill College Senior Common Room, and are free and open to the public. A cash bar will also be available.
