AUTHOR MICHAEL WINTER FEATURED THIS WEEK IN WRITERS READING SERIES

Author Michael Winter will read from his work on Wednesday, February 26, at 8 p.m. in the Traill College Junior Common Room (300 London Street). This event is part of Trent University’s Writers Reading series.

Mr. Winter has published two short story collections, One Last Good Look (1999) and Creaking in Their Skins (1994), as well as a journal of personal reflection, This All Happened (2000), which won the Winterset Award and was short-listed for the Rogers Writer’s Trust Fiction Prize.

The English Literature Department organized the first Writers Reading Series in the 1988-89 academic year. The intent was to showcase new writers who had not yet developed a wide audience, as well as to provide a space for more established writers to read from their work.

A balance of prose and poetry, as well as many different types of Canadian writing, is presented through the series. Over the years Writers Reading has established a loyal and sizeable audience from the Trent University and Peterborough communities.

This event is free and open to the public.
