Writers Reading Series Features Tim Wynne-Jones

Canadian author Tim Wynne-Jones will read from his latest book, The Boy in the Burning House, at 8 p.m. on November 12, in an event that is part of Trent’s annual Writers Reading series.

Tim Wynne-Jones has published 21 books for children and young adults, and has authored four novels for adults. He has received numerous awards and accolades for his work, including the 1979 Seal First Novel Award, the Governor General’s Award (1993 and 1995) and the Book of the Year for Children Award (1994, 1996 and 1998). In 2000 he participated in the J.K. Rowling event at Skydome.

In addition to writing, Mr. Wynne-Jones is an artist, musician, book designer, poet, playwright, song writer, teacher and book critic editor.

The Writers Reading event will take place at Titles Bookstore, located at 379 George St. N., and will be followed by an informal reception. This event is free and open to the public, and is sponsored by Champlain College, the Writers Union of Canada and the Canada Council.
