LNAP Workshop and Event Schedule

Wednesday, March 19th 7pm-11pm


  • Drop-in appointments with Academic Skills Instructors and Learning Librarian
  • Writing rooms: feed off the productivity of others
  • Food, refreshments, and information in the library atrium


7:30 pm – Study strategies: 7 things you can start right now!
8:00 pm – 5 then 10: Brainstorming and doodling an essay
8:30 pm – Stress reducing stretch session
9:00 pm – Writing exams: tips and tricks for writing multiple choice, short answer, and essay exams
9:30 pm – 5 then 10: Brainstorming and doodling an essay



A free, evening event providing a writing space for students at a critical essay writing point in the winter semester. Research librarians, Academic Skills instructors and student assistants will be available to work with students to help them make progress on their papers and effectively manage their study time before final exams. Light refreshments will be provided.

An event for all students. Organized and sponsored by Academic Skills Centre, Bata Library, The Wellness Centre, First Peoples House of Learning, TCSA and The Office of Student Affairs.


Advanced registration is not required, but drop-in does operate on a first come first served sign up.


The first Long Night Against Procrastination was held at a university in Germany in 2010 as a way for campus services to further support students academically. This is the first ever Long Night Against Procrastination held at Trent University

 If you plan to attend LNAP, please remember to:
- Bring a water bottle or coffee mug
- Plan your ride home in advance. Be sure to take public transit or arrange a ride.
- Use the Walkhome program to return to residence.
