ESRI Canada Scholarship Applicatons: Due Friday, January 15

Deadline for application: Friday, January 15, 2016, 4 p.m.

Trent University Library is delighted to announce that the University is recipient of a 2016 Esri Canada Scholarship.

The scholarship offers a one-time cash payment of $1, 000.00. It also offers a permanent license of Esri’s ArcGIS software for education and research use, books, access to Esri's Virtual Campus courses, instructor-led training and a complimentary registration for one of Esri Canada's User Conferences.

This award is intended to encourage an interested student to continue his or her studies in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The scholarship will be awarded to one student on the basis of competitive evaluation of a paper or project that includes a significant GIS component.

All graduate students and upper-year undergraduate students, from any discipline, who are currently enrolled at Trent University and whose studies include work with Geographic Information Systems and Esri's ArcGIS Software can apply for the scholarship.

A condition of the scholarship is that the recipient must be continuing at Trent University in the 2016/17 academic year.  Also, a student’s work must be sufficiently in progress to be able to submit a poster and summary paper to ESRI Canada by May 15,  2016
