Trent University Archives closes March 23rd to prepare for relocation

Detailed planning for the temporary relocation of Bata Library collections and services is now underway and the date for the archives move has now been scheduled.

The Trent University Archives will be the first department to relocate to a temporary off-campus location in order to allow the Bata Library Transformation Project to move ahead.

To enable what is a very complex move of valuable archival holdings, special collections, and the art collection, the materials are currently being packed. The last day of operations for the archives prior to the relocation will be Wednesday, March 22nd. Students and researchers are encouraged to visit the archives or book any appointments prior to this date.

The Archives will reopen on or before Thursday, May 4th, 2017 at our temporary location at 225 Charlotte Street (corner of Aylmer St.) in downtown Peterborough. From May 4, 2017 to Spring 2018, researchers will be able to access the Archives’ collections at this temporary location by appointment.
