Douglas Pimlott and Paul Aird Parks Collection

Most folders contain brochures for specific parks. Some folders contain correspondence from and to Prof. Douglas Pimlott relating to parks. Pimlott was first Director of the Environmental Studies Program at Innis College. He is recognized as the originating force behind the Canadian environmental movement and was a specialist in the habits and habitat of the wolf. These materials were located in Pimlott’s office at the University of Toronto and were forwarded to Trent University Archives by Prof. Paul Aird along with some of his own parks-related files via Prof. George Warecki in 2001.
