Biography / History

David Langley Carley was born in Peterborough, Ontario. He attended Trent University and Queen's University and received a degree in Law in 1979. He is a social activist who has lobbied for gun control and against the return of the death penalty. As a playwright he has had work staged in all parts of Canada. He was formerly the script editor for CBC's radio show "Morningside". He was also the editor of the community weekly paper "The Kawartha Sun" from 1981 to 1982. He is a journalist and his work has appeared in a number of local, national and international newspapers and magazines. In 1984 he was the revising editor of "Handbook of English" published by McGraw-Hill Ryerson. See also .

Scope and Content

This fonds consists of personal correspondence written by and to playwright David Langley Carley.
